*A raster file is a scanned image used in Photoshop or Photo Paint, and is usually TIFF. Vector images are computer generated graphics using drawing programs like Freehand or Illustrator and page layout programs such as Quarkxpress, or Pagemaker.

**The LVT can only Image TIFF files that have no channels , no paths, and no compression. They also need to be horizontal (landscape) to be imaged correctly. If your file is not set up using these guide lines, we will change them for you and run your job. There is a $50.00 per hour charge for changing your file into the above guide lines, billed in 15 minute increments.

The LVT also has the ability to set up and run a mosaic of images onto one sheet of film. If you have 4-4x5's that you need imaged, you can have us mosaic them onto one 8x10 with 4 images. The cost for this service is the regular raster cost of $90.00 with an $5.00 fee for each image that we add to the mosaic file. This 8x10 with 4 images would cost $110.00 instead of the 4 individual 4x5 LVT's costing $300.00. It is your responsibility to cut out the images if you want them in actual 4x5 format.
  • All mosaics are done on 8x10 sheet film.
  • All mosaics are done using raster files.
  • The raster files all need to be the same size.
  • File dimensions that can be mosaics are 4x5, 6x6, 6x7, 6x17, 35mm.
